Refund and cancellation policy
This service exchanges virtual items rather than selling them for money, so “cancellation” is the useful word for most situations. This page explains exactly when a request can be stopped and what cannot be undone.
1. Cancelling before a trade offer is accepted
You can cancel a trade request at any moment before you accept a trade offer in Steam. There is no fee and no explanation is required. Reply to our email, or write to [email protected] quoting the reference number shown on your confirmation page, and we close the request. If a trade offer has already been sent, simply declining it in Steam also ends the process.
Until you accept an offer, nothing has left your inventory, so there is nothing to return.
2. What happens once a trade is confirmed
When you accept a trade offer in Steam, the transfer of the items is carried out by Steam. That transfer is final and cannot be reversed by us: we have no ability to recall a completed Steam trade, and neither has any other exchange service. This is why we ask you to check every item on both sides of an offer before confirming it.
An exchange completed in Steam therefore does not carry a right to change your mind afterwards. Where consumer law in your country gives you a right of withdrawal for digital content, that right ends once the exchange has been performed with your express confirmation in Steam.
3. If we cancel
We may decline or withdraw a request before an exchange is completed, as described in the Terms of Service. If we do so after items have already been transferred to us, and the exchange cannot be completed as agreed, we return the items you sent to the same Steam account, subject to Steam’s trade holds and to that account still being able to receive them.
4. Reporting a technical error
If a trade offer did not match the terms we agreed, if items are missing after a completed exchange, or if the site itself behaved incorrectly, write to [email protected] as soon as you notice it, and include:
- your reference number, in the format
TR-YYYYMMDD-XXXXXX; - the date and approximate time of the trade offer;
- which items were expected and which were actually transferred;
- the Steam trade offer number or a screenshot of the completed trade, if you have one.
We investigate every such report, tell you what we find, and put right anything that was our error. Where the cause lies with Steam itself, we say so plainly and point you to Steam Support, because we have no access to your account or to Steam’s records.
5. What this policy cannot promise
We do not promise compensation for the changing market value of an item, for a trade hold applied by Steam, for an exchange you confirmed knowingly, or for items lost because your Steam credentials were shared with someone else. Promising any of those would be a promise we could not keep.
6. Payments
The website does not process payments and holds no payment card data, so there is nothing for it to refund in money. Any exchange is item-for-item on terms stated in writing before you accept them.
